On August 15, 2025, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a working meeting with a delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan Han Chunlin. Zhandilda Zhakupov, head of the IPC, was invited to this meeting as an expert.
During the meeting, the parties discussed international approaches and initiatives in the field of mediation, as well as prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in this area. Vice Minister of Culture and Information Aizada Kurmanova spoke about the steps being taken in the country to strengthen the institution of mediation.
The Vice Minister noted that the meeting opens up new opportunities for the exchange of experience between the two countries and the introduction of best practices in the field of mediation. She stressed the importance of cooperation to improve the quality of mediation and ensure its accessibility to all social groups.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation and exchange of experience on mediation issues, including joint study and adaptation of successful practices, as well as the development of the mediation institute in accordance with international standards.
