In early June 2025, an international Summer Mediation School was held at the Olmos Resort Hotel in the Bustanlyk district of the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan.
This event is held annually within the framework of the Consortium of Mediators of Central Asia, which includes the IPC.
100 mediators from 7 countries (Azerbaijan, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan) participated in the training. The main theme of this year's summer school is Best Mediation Practices in Central Asia, the Caucasus and Turkey.
During the school, participants from different countries discussed topical issues and exchanged experiences in the field of mediation, which contributed to strengthening cooperation between the regions. The working languages of the event were Uzbek, Turkish, Russian and English, which ensured the accessibility of information to a wide audience.
The school's program included the following sub-themes:
-Family approaches in family mediation;
- Mediation in the field of intellectual property and digital technology protection;
- Innovative approaches in mediation of corporate and labor conflicts;
- Mediation in the business environment: investment, commercial, and consumer disputes.
In addition to the training, the official opening of the Tashkent Mediation Center, sightseeing tours and official receptions were held.
The head of the IPC Zhakupov Zhandilda spoke on the topic "Artificial intelligence in the work of a mediator" and conducted practical classes for participants of the International School.
