Coordinating Council for Cooperation with Mediation Organizations

The Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A.Balayeva, signed an order dated April 15, 2025 "On the establishment of a Coordinating Council for cooperation with organizations of mediators under the authorized body," reports Zakon.kz .

The regulation on the Coordinating Council for Cooperation with Mediation Organizations under the authorized body and the composition of the Coordinating Council were also approved.

The Coordinating Council for Cooperation with Mediation Organizations is an advisory body.

The purpose of the Coordinating Council is to ensure effective interaction of the authorized body with organizations of mediators and other interested parties for the development and improvement of the mediation institute in Kazakhstan.

The tasks of the Coordinating Council are:

development of proposals for improving legislation in the field of mediation;
assistance in the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of mediation;
analysis of problematic issues arising in mediation practice and development of recommendations for their solution;
development of self-regulation in the field of mediation and strengthening the institution of professional responsibility of mediators;
ensuring an open dialogue between mediation organizations and the authorized body;
approval of training programs for training and professional development of mediators.
development and approval of the standard charter of mediation organizations.
The Coordinating Council performs the following functions:

discusses issues of professional training and professional development of mediators;
develops proposals and develops recommendations on creating favorable conditions for the development of the mediation institute and its further improvement;
considers proposals for the development of a system of self-regulation of mediation organizations;
organizes the exchange of experience and information between organizations of mediators;
considers and develops proposals for resolving problematic issues arising in the practice of mediation;
organizes and conducts dialogue platforms with the participation of mediation organizations, including those with international participation;
conducting approval of training programs submitted by mediation organizations.
The Coordinating Council consists of the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary and the members of the Coordinating Council.

The composition includes representatives of the authorized body, organizations of professional mediators included in the register of organizations of mediators under the authorized body.

The composition of representatives of mediation organizations is updated at least once a year.

The order is put into effect from the date of signing.
