The mediator of the West Kazakhstan Region, Zauresh Akhmetovna Shatikova, held a guest lecture for students of the 4th year of jurisprudence at the Utemisov University. The lecture was held in one breath, everyone really liked it. Flyers and business cards were distributed to the participants. Work was carried out with slides, filling out questionnaires and working on them, as well as business games.

On October 17, 2024, 4th year students of the Faculty of Law of the Faculty of History, Economics and Law of the M.Utemisov ZKU received a unique opportunity to meet with the professional Honorary mediator of the NGO "ICP" Shatikova Zurya Akhmetovna to learn more about methods of constructive communication and conflict resolution. The meeting was organized by teachers of the State Educational Institution "Pravo" Serikova L.S., Nurzhanova A.K.
The main purpose of the meeting was to familiarize students with the specifics of working in the field of mediation.
Important topics were discussed during the meeting: What is mediation and what tasks does it solve? How to identify hidden conflicts and prevent their escalation? The role of active listening and mutual respect in negotiations. Practical techniques for the peaceful settlement of disagreements.
The students were provided with full information about the features and benefits of mediation. We discussed the possibility of becoming a mediator without higher legal education. The topic of mandatory mediation training was fully disclosed.
After the main part of the meeting, students asked questions about the mediation procedure, working conditions and the specifics of the professional activities of mediators. Zurya Akhmetovna's answers were detailed and helped the students to understand some aspects of the mediation procedure.
